In Andaman, my experience was totally different. I found people very humble & honest. They provide full service & everything promised beforehand. Their margins are quite low so the packages are not that much costly. My tour package provider was based on Portblair. He had sent us a detailed plan of our 7 day journey & the service to be provided by him via Email. As we landed at Portblair, his drivers were ther to pick us up. We were fully in his charge until his drivers drop us off after 7 days. He provided all the services mentioned in the Email. He came to hotel every night to ask us about our experience of the day & to inform us about our next day travelling. If you are planning to travel there by you own, you can do that. There can be some problems like all the tickets for ferry services to different islands are available at particular time at particular location. You may not be able to stand in a queue at 4 in the morning at ticket window for Havelok ferry for your next day travel. Tour agents have their boys standing in queue for tourists’ tickets. So practically, it is wise to take tour package from good service providers. Hope this helps, Enjoy….!!!
